The primary responsibilities of this position is to help children understand the nature and attributes of God. A child who knows God as a loving Father will not mistake him for an impersonal being. Help children respect the rules for daily life that are found in God’s Word. Help children develop a humble Spirit. Help children understand the nature of sin and the need for a Savior. Help children evaluate what they see and hear. Encourage children to identify truth. Help children develop intellectually through age appropriate activities and lessons.
Preferred and minimal qualifications:
An Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Early Childhood or its equivalent in classes and experience related to this field; Credentials I and II. One years teaching in a preschool program. Currrent year’s First Aid and CPR certification. Current physical examination and negative tuberculin test. A minimum of three (3) good reference checks. Background/criminal record and fingerprints record reports required. A clear Christian testimony and an established record of Christian maturity. General Duties and Responsibilities:
Must plan and execute an educational program of age-appropriate activities for children in your care and identify each child’s individual capabilities and needs. Create a learning environment that assures the welfare, health, and safety of the children. Organize and maintain classroom activity areas, materials, supplies, and keep your immediate superviosr advised of equipment and materials that need to be repaired and replaced. Maintain constant supervision of the children in your care. Take daily attendance and keep up with all required reports. Submit lesson plans weekly. Train and make the most of the use of the teacher aide’s time (if you have one). Establish and maintain effective communication with parents. Build good communication with other staff to create professional atmosphere. Attending training as required. Understand the North Carolina Child Care Requirements and keep your superviosr immediately informed of any classroom problems
